At Listen to the Music our primary focus is to develop independent, creative musicians with a life-long love of music and playing the piano. We provide inspiring instrumental education for preschool and school age learners. Students frequently choose to continue piano studies well into their teens.

A music educator with more than twenty years teaching experience, Linda has worked in preschools, schools, churches and private music studios. She specialises in early childhood music education and piano pedagogy, with skills in multi-sensory learning and improvisation for self-confidence and wellbeing. Linda’s published works include ‘Finger Dance: Songs and Rhymes for Developing Technique in the Young Pianist’ and ‘The Quiet Heart’ (2003).

How do we develop your child’s potential? Lessons include:

  • A wide range of enjoyable activities and resources for developing musicianship

  • Active music making through listening, moving, singing, playing, creating, reading and writing

  • A focus on beat, rhythm and pitch while simultaneously developing aural awareness, co-ordination, technique and sound production at the piano.

  • A wide of range of musical styles including classical, contemporary, music theatre, pop and jazz

  • Bespoke Practice Strategies develop student independence.
